  • Tonight was cauliflower, broccoli, bacon, onions, garlic and basil sautéed in butter and olive oil. Put in a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle diced ham over top. Make a cheese sauce with butter, heavy cream and sharp cheddar cheese seasoned with black pepper and crushed red pepper. Pour sauce over meat and veggies. Stir in. Crushed pork rinds sprinkled over top and more cheddar cheddar. Bake 10 min. Broil until browned. So yummy! #ketodiet #keto #ketotransformation #dinner #ketocomfortfood

  • Trying a new spin on an old favorite...I used to make a #chocolate whip as a treat when I first started #keto when my kids would get ice cream. The new spin that I’ve been doing is replacing cocoa with @fatissmartfuel #saltedchocolatemacadamia .

    It’s really easy to make.
    Step 1.) whisk/blend heavy cream until it starts to develop small peaks.
    Step 2.) Add in stevia 7-10 drops, Vanilla 2-3 tsp (the amount will vary depending on what you like), and two salted chocolate macadamia #fbombs (add cocoa powder if you prefer more chocolate flavor)

    Step 3.) whisk more until you reach a fluffy, cloud-like consistency.

    Step 4.) (optional) add in some dark chocolate or cocoa nibs for texture.

    Step 5.) enjoy 😊
    Depending on the addition of dark chocolate, your total carbs are right around 13. Net carbs is around 5 if you count them.
    I put in around 20 chocolate chips which is around 5 carbs for those particular Lilly’s chocolate and the FBombs are 4 carbs each. That’s how I got 13...I didn’t take the time to look at the other macros because...well I’m lazy. Just know that heavy cream is pretty much all fat... #lchf #keto #dessert #veteran #bethechange

  • Day 2: 21 DSD

    I made it through a busy day feeling a lot better than I did this morning! Looks like I’m getting my appetite back as well!
    Breakfast: sipped on tea: detox morning tea and throat coat tea, took turmeric lemon ginger shots. Not that I don’t eat breakfast, I am actually love breakfast but was feeling my body needed hydration and herbs. Plus my throat was sore and tea felt good down my throat 😊

    Lunch: I was able to run home and check on my son (he was home today from school, also not feeling well) and heated up some of my vegetable purée soup I had made and froze several weeks ago. Loaded with vegetable and kept me full until dinner.
    Dinner: needed extra carbs when I got home tonight so I had half a Japanese sweet potato, Brussel sprouts and sautéed chicken thighs with onions.
    I don’t eat each nightshades because of the inflammation it causes in my body so I opted for the sweet potato (6 grams of sugar)
    Night time snack: bone broth with turmeric black pepper and Himalayan sea salt.

I made it through a busy day feeling a lot better than I did this morning!  Looks like I’m getting my appetite back as well!

  • Been fasting all day, just now diving into dinner. I tried fixing the 90 second bread, that I kept seeing online. It turned out pretty good, I just need to find something that shapes it better. I doubled the recipe, so I could use it for my hamburgers.

    The next thing I’m going to try, is the cloud bread. I really hope that turns out good, because it look delicious. I have several other things that I want to try, as well. I’ve been making a list.
