- We are all just spirits floating around, trying to figure out how we got here. However the key to knowing is to know we truly don’t know anything. 🔑🖤

- Shame is the biggest sickness in society.
It tells us to keep things to ourselves that we should be talking about and it insidiously erodes our self-esteem.
Child or adult, feeling inherently wrong about who you are is a difficult way to go through life.
When we live in a society that tells us being straight is normal, it makes anyone who's not straight feel abnormal.
When society says people should look a certain way, it makes those who don't look that way feel like they don't look good enough.
When society says talking about mental health is a taboo subject, it makes people struggling to stay healthy feel they have to keep everything to themselves.
When society says that certain sexual practices are perverse, it makes those who enjoy that type of sex feel like perverts.
We are too easily made to feel wrong about the things we think and feel.
Shame drives us inside ourselves and stops us from sharing how we feel.
And when we can't talk about how we feel we can never feel comfortable within ourselves.
We must end this shame cycle and break down the stigma in talking about what's going on in our heads to those we care about.
If your child has a curiosity in a subject that you find uncomfortable talking about, don't make your child feel wrong for asking.
If you're struggling with depression or anxiety, don't let shame make you feel you can't share your needs.
If you want to be involved in a relationship that is not the 'norm', don't let shame stop you from living your best life.
And don't ever let shame stop you from speaking you truth!
You will never be truly happy until you start owning who you are and caring less about what society will think of you.
It only matters what you think of yourself.
And by demonstrating such self-care, you will only attract the right people into your life, and lose those who don't get you.
Because you know what- everything you are thinking, feeling and doing is normal!
