  • Your Money Matters; The Islamic Approach to Business. Money, and Work by Mohammad Rahma, PhD.
This can be called a very vital handbook for anyone interested in running business according to the laws of Islam. It is not only based on business but life at large. This book clears the confusion of alot of individuals who think that Islam has nothing to do with business handling except in the concept of Riba (usury). This literature provides individuals with not only laws and regulations guiding business but also aids and strategies in creating, managing and benefiting from business that even non-muslims would find very useful. The writer mostly emphasises on giving reasons based on authentic sources (i.e Qur'an and Hadith) trying as much as possible not to bring up personal interested. The book is divided into three parts with eleven chapters. The first part discusses Islam and how it is a whole religion which did not leave out any aspect of life and most importantly business and finance. The last part is based on business ethics. The second which which is the most part of this literature has nine chapters which discussed Managerial Assets, setting up a business, finance and Accounting, Human resource management, organizational behavior, operations management, Marketing and management.
This book is a must have Evey business owner, entrepreneur and worker.

So we thought of this while talking to a bookstagrammer. Would love to great what you think 😀

Thanks to @1979mockingbird "It's rather sad when we hear people say that nothing good has ever been produced in Pakistani literature. it only shows a deep sense of inferiority in our society that has permeated across generations. We love books and literature so we think you should read beautiful books from all over the world. And certainly authors from different parts of the world have done wonderful work that has been noticed more maybe because of language or maybe because of other reasons. but would you throw out the good things in your own house because the things in your neighbor's house get noticed more? 🤔😀" #pakistanireadersinitiative #pakistanreads #pakistanibooks #bookstagram #bookbloggers #bookstagrammers #pakistanibookstagrammers #literature #books

Today is a beautiful day to hide in the stacks at the Mason City Public Library. I'm reading "Evil Eye" by Joyce Carol Oates but I had to take time to appreciate this nonfiction gem.

  • “One sees clearly only with the heart. The essential is invisible to the eye." What a little gem of a book that I somehow have never read before. It’s so magical, simple and yet very philosophically expansive. It’s what I love about childhood. .
    .
    .
    .
    .
I knew the moment I read the inscription I’d love this book: “To Leon Worth: I ask children to forgive me for dedicating this book to a grow-up. I have a serious excuse: this grown-up is the best friend I have in the world. I have another excuse: this grown-up can understand everything, even books for children. I have a third excuse: he lives in France where he is hungry and cold. He needs to be comforted. If all these excuses are not enough, then I want to dedicate this book to the child whom this group-up once was. All grown-ups were children first. (But few of them remember it.) So I correct my dedication. To Leon Worth when he was a little boy”

  • Wracając wczoraj do domu przy okazji zajrzałem do Empika , wpadł mi w ręce komiks ,,Staruszek Logan Strefy Wojny '' autorstwa Bendis i Sorrentino odrazu go kupiłem a wieczorkiem usiadłem do czytania i pochłonąłem go odrazu . Bo lekturze komiksu nabrałem ochotę na kolejny raz obejrzeć  film ,,Logan'' i chyba oglądne go dziś.

  • Tomorrow I turn 40 😳 I can’t believe I am going to be in my 40s. Such a crazy thing.
It seems like I was 25 just a few years ago...and how is 50 just 10 years away?
I feel pretty good turning 40 though. I have been married to an amazing guy for 16.5 years now. I was so young when I met him and we have truly grown together other the years. Through our 20s, 30s, and now 40s as I join him over there (he is a few years older than me.) I have three amazing boys, 14, 12, and 8 and they all have such different personalities, I love that.

I have been able to create a WAHM career with blogging and freelance writing and working on becoming a nurse eventually.

And since it is my birthday I couldn’t help but share one of my favorites from when I was a kid.
The Fourteen Bears Summer And Winter by Evelyn Scott, illustrated by Virginia Parsons was my favorite. I loved looking at all the pictures and the story of this big bear family.

Now I have my original put away somewhere and bought this copy for my own kids a few years ago.

Now, tell me what your favorite childhood book was 📚
