  • I see a lot of people choosing words or sayings for 2019. Things like “gratitude” “forgiveness” and “hope”. I’ve never been someone to hop on this train because even though I want all those words in my life, nothing resonated with me. But then one day, it came to me.

    After I graduated college 2 years ago, I’ve spent my days feeling ashamed, embarrassed, and unworthy. When it comes to my turn to talk about my life at the dinner table, I want to crawl under a rock and hide. I don’t enjoy talking about myself and I have so much anxiety towards it. But this is where I want (need) to change. My 2019 mantra is “Own Your Life”; the goods and the bads. I need to own who I am because that is literally all I have. I have nothing else to show the world but myself and my actions.

    So what better place to announce my triumphs and failures than social media. Lol

    Let me get started.
    It took me 6 years to graduate college.

    I changed my major 6 times and ended up with a degree in Technical and Applied Studies. What is that you ask? I HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA.

    I graduated from a Full Stack Computer Programming Bootcamp. (Still deciding whether that was a triumph or failure seeing as I’m currently not using those skills).

    At one moment I was going through getting a tattoo lasered off because I was going to join the military. (The smell of your own skin being lasered off is traumatic.)
    .
    I’ve held 10 jobs in the last 2 years. Let me repeat.. 10 jobs. And I left all of them… either because I felt extremely unfulfilled or because my anxiety took over. So yeah if you need resume, cover letter, or interview tips, I gotchu.

    As you can see, I’ve been kinda a mess. I have a lot to work on mentally (and physically, cause let’s be real). But here I am doing my best to “Own My Life”. And dear god, if I don’t have an anxiety attack after I post this… I deserve all the ice cream.

  • I teach my boys 🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏻‍♂️that family sticks together! I believe that as a parent we must consciously shape our children’s understanding of the world 🌎around them. When Angelo (on the left) and Christian were little and could talk I instilled in them that they were best friends 👦🏻👦🏻and will always be best friends🙌🏼. To this day when I would ask them questions to get to know them like “what’s your favorite color🎨” and “what’s your favorite pizza🍕” I would also ask “who is your best friend?” The answer was always each other 🎏and then a boy’s name from school or church that would change every 6 months😜. Many times they would say mom and dad too but what never changed was each other. 👍🏼 #coaching tip 19/365 INSTILL THE IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY IN YOUR FAMILY

    I have heard enough pain from clients where family is a sore subject🙈🙉🙊. I get it and I have experienced it too. I can only say that forgiveness 🙏🏼 and reconciliation over time heals all wounds🚑. Only you can determine when and how to do so. I would just encourage you that sooner 💌📤📬is a always better because tomorrow is not promised. 😘

    Som sagt, en av mina styrkor och likväl en svaghet som jag jobbar kring är min “all or nothing”-mentalitet.. Vet jag bättre? Oh yes. Men det handlar om dagsformen.. Är jag pepp? Hur känns kroppen idag? Sovit bra? Ätit ordentligt sedan igår? Vilka intryck och utmaningar bjuder omgivningen på?
    Och precis som med allt annat gäller det att sätta upp mål och delmål som är mätbara och som täcker hela välmåendet✨
    Jag rekommenderar dig nu att ta det ett steg längre och motivera konkret för dig själv, inför dina kommande gråa dagar, VARFÖR varje specifik satsning är din gåva till dig själv just denna knepiga dag.. just idag när sömnen inte räckte.. Just idag fastän du slant till med kosten.. Just idag när du känner dig låg och inte riktigt vet varför, eller så vet du det..   • Energy boosts are sometimes needed throughout the day. Long days inside can make you feel sluggish and drained.

    What are some ways you can kick it up for a boost of energy?
