  • Last night the headline read “Spokane’s first snowstorm of 2019 on Tuesday”, I should have known better than to get excited... Upon reading the article I discovered that apparently 2 inches over 7ish hours constitutes a snowstorm around here these days😭

  • Have you ever felt just stuck? Like you’re doing all these things yet find yourself in the same place at the end of the year? Yeah, me too.
    👠
I have a saying on my closet wall:
You can do anything with the right shoes.
To move forward, maybe we just haven’t found the right shoes to get us there yet. DON’T STOP READING. I have a point I promise!
    👟
What if, instead of doing the same thing that’s not working over and over again, we take a step into someone else’s world? Shadow that person a bit, maybe even ::gasp:: ask a question or two! Try their shoe on for a moment and see if it fits. Take it to your business, to your home and maybe, just maybe, it will be a breath of fresh air. #entrepreneur

  • Washington State is trying to make running your own business, as an independent stylist, illegal. So many hair stylists will be put out of a CAREER over this proposed bill. Please do what you can to educate yourself & read up! Link in bio will lead you to the purposed bill, an option to send a message to legislators, & a way to tell them that you are OPPOSED! The government is projected to make 300 million dollars a year off this bill. In my salon alone, there will be 30 WOMEN out of a job or becoming a commission employee, taking a 70% pay cut. We have mortgages, families, children, bills. I, personally, have worked my ass off over the last five years to build my business. I’ve missed family dinners, birthdays, Saturday’s off with my husband, happy hours with friends. I did this for my career, so I could have a better life in the future. This is the future & I won’t lay down while the legislation tries to take that away from me and all of the other boss babes who run their own business. Have you read this bill yet? #useyourvoice #NOon5326 #hairstylistsagainst5326 #government #hairstylist #womenempowerment #womensrights #washington

'Hola, I'm Mike Pence': U.S. VP delivers message of support to Venezuelans
    Jeff Mason
#WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Vice President Mike Pence issued a video message of support to Venezuelans on Tuesday to encourage those who are protesting against President Nicolas #Maduro and underline U.S. backing for opposition leader Juan Guaido.

Venezuela's opposition on Wednesday plans to hold marches nationwide as part of an annual event that marks the fall of a military government in 1958. Government critics are increasingly comparing Maduro to dictator Marcos Perez, who was pushed from power that year.

In a taped video message in English with a few Spanish words and phrases mixed in, Pence, who has lashed out at Maduro before, declared him a "dictator" who has no rightful claim to power. "On behalf of President Donald Trump @realdonaldtrump and all the American people, let me express the unwavering support of the United States as you, the people of Venezuela, raise your voices in a call for freedom," Pence said after offering a greeting of "hola," which means "hello" in Spanish. "Nicolas Maduro is a dictator with no legitimate claim to power. He has never won the presidency in a free and fair election, and has maintained his grip of power by imprisoning anyone who dares to oppose him." Pence declared U.S. support again for Guaido, with whom he spoke by phone earlier this month, and the National Assembly, which he leads, as the "last vestige of democracy." Pence said Washington supported Guaido's decision to assert the body's powers, declare Maduro a "usurper" and push for a transitional government to be established. "As you make your voices heard tomorrow, on behalf of the American people, we say to all the good people of Venezuela: estamos con ustedes," Pence said, following up with the translation in English: "We are with you, we stand with you, and we will stay with you until democracy is restored and you reclaim your birthright of libertad." • It was a Sunday morning and the family and I woke up at 10am. I got an itch to get out so I quickly threw the essentials into my @beastcraftleathergoods bag and we hit the road. We sent it hard and drove 3 hours to this lake with a gorgeous island with reflecting trees. We explored around the lake waiting for the sun to set. We caught a bit of sunset and hit the long road back home. This day was definitely a memorable one. 🤙🏻
